I currently cover breaking national and international news for USA TODAY, writing about everything from Washington politics and conflicts abroad to immigration and natural disasters. I am also regular guest on USA TODAY’s podcast ‘The Excerpt.’

At the Orlando Sentinel, I covered courts in Orange and Osceola counties as well as multiple police agencies across central Florida.

As the public safety reporter for the Tallahassee Democrat, I wrote about crime, use-of-force investigations, COVID-19 and more.

 

Fresh Take Florida is a news service focused on covering the Florida Legislature. As a reporter, I wrote daily stories on a wide array of topics, including proposed legislation, court decisions, technology and more. My stories for Fresh Take Florida were published in The Associated Press, U.S. News and World Report, the Tampa Bay Times and the Miami Herald.

 

WUFT News

August 2020 – December 2020

As a reporter for WUFT News, an NPR affiliate station in north-central Florida, I produced written stories with accompanying photos, data visualizations and NPR audio wraps.

 

As a talent director for the Reitz Programming Board, I organized events for the University of Florida’s student union. My first event was a moderated conversation with Selwyn Jones and Angela Harrelson, George Floyd’s aunt and uncle. I also co-hosted an interview with B.J. Novak (The Office and Inglorious Basterds).
